System Identification
Check whether your current browser is on HSRN or not
Overview
Since it may be challenging to determine whether a specific system is connected to NYU Net or the HSRN, we have provided the following identification methods to differentiate between systems on different networks.
Computer Wallpaper
Access our Google Drive Folder and download the file corresponding with your system's aspect ratio. Most computers follow the 16:9 aspect ratio, but you can use this unaffiliated online tool to check your monitor.

Stickers
We provide HSRN stickers to attach to Ethernet ports, fiber distribution boxes, connected machines, and other HSRN-enabled devices to distinguish network connections. These should be provided at the time of connection, but more can be requested by emailing us at hsrn-support@nyu.edu
