HSRN Virtual Private Network (VPN)

Connecting

Connecting to the HSRN VPN follows the same process as the NYU-NET VPN except under the name vpn.hsrn.nyu.edu.

When to use

HSRN server and workstation IPs are reachable from the standard NYU VPN. However, out-of-band management addresses (IPMI, iDRAC, XClarity) are NOT reachable from the NYU VPN to protect them from potential attacks.
